Responsibilities
Below is an overview of the main responsibilities you’ll take on in this role.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments in both on-premises and cloud setups.
Manage system performance, storage, and virtualization infrastructure.
Monitor hardware and virtual resources to ensure system uptime and performance.
Conduct regular system backups, patching, and updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve server or network-related issues in a timely manner.
Deploy, monitor, and manage EC2 instances, ECS (Elastic Compute Service), S3/OSS storage
Implement and manage IAM roles, Security Groups, and firewall rules.
Ensure cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency.
Maintain system availability, security compliance, and performance monitoring in both AWS and AliCloud environments.
Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and internal routing.
Manage firewalls and security appliances for on-premises and cloud networks.
Apply system hardening and access control policies across all environments.
Monitor network connectivity, detect issues, and implement preventive actions.
Qualifications
The following are the key qualifications and attributes we believe are essential for success in this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of AWS and Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3/OSS, IAM).
Hands-on experience in Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Familiarity with firewall and security configuration (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS-WAF AliCloud Security Group).
Experience with system monitoring ( PRTG Network Monitor, CloudWatch, Grafana)
Nice to have experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
Basic scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts and standby/on-call schedules.
Good communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Proactive and detail-oriented approach to system operations.
